New Jersey-based Latin indie pop artist Lawd Ito expresses the rich colors, rhythms,
and the soul of his Afro-Boricua roots through his music. As a bilingual singer-songwriter and producer, Ito experiments with diverse Latin styles and fuses them with contemporary R&B, EDM and hip-hop. By evolving these idioms and exploring romance, heartbreak, mental health, and celebration as central themes, Lawd Ito creates his very own eclectic, vibrant, and forward-thinking brand of Latin pop.
“Quemao” (July ‘24), his very first Dominican Dembow project, reached the Top 50 most Shazamed global playlist on Apple music after appearing on several YouTube vlogs from famous French influencer, Lena Mahfouf a.k.a. Lena Situations. Through his partnership with Epidemic Sound, his music has also appeared on several popular commercial brands including Rihanna's Savage X Fenty, GoPro, Spotify Mexico and more. Outside of Epidemic Sound, Lawd Ito continues to collaborate and develop his craft by working with various other artists. Among them are Latin Grammy winner Mireya Ramos of Flor De Toloache and Spanish boy band, AMOR.
